Tryn
A refined ebb and flow between tradition and innovation, Tryn is a stylish ode to Steenberg’s 17th-century founder, Catharina Ras. Meet and mingle on the restaurant’s Oak Terrace overlooking the hotel’s lush lawns. If you fancy a team-building or breakaway exercise, we offer a range of lawn games which you can simply add to your booking. Meander through the historic building’s stylishly contemporary interior to the Vineyard Terrace and sip a glass of crisp Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc against the backdrop of the verdant vines that yield it.
For smaller, more intimate gatherings, make your way to the Ruby Room which seats up to 16 at the main table. Should you require additional space, four adjoining booths upholstered with rich red velvet comfortably accommodate a further 16. For larger groups, choose the gorgeous Cuvée Room which seats up to 46 and opens onto a patio perfect for a convivial gathering of friends and colleagues.
Bistro Sixteen82
Bistro Sixteen82’s’ name celebrates the farm’s founding year, and the restaurant is a modern take on brasserie-style dining. The sunny glass facade and terrace overlook the restaurant’s water features and fynbos garden to the mountain beyond. Toast 2022 with a flute of Steenberg’s Cap Classique at the Terroir Terrace, perfect for groups of up to 32. Dining tables can be configured to suit your needs with ample room to mingle. Your delicious meal is complemented not only by Steenberg’s finest wines but also by the majestic views of Elephant’s Eye and the Table Mountain range.
Tryn and Bistro Sixteen82’s function packages offer set menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tapas. Each delectable offering is prepared by Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin and her team who funnel flavourful flair into each dish using fresh, locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients. Both restaurants offer extensive vegetarian and vegan options. As for wine, choose from Steenberg’s award-winning selection.
