SPICE ROUTE PASSPORT – WHAT’S NEW

One of the most enjoyable ways to explore the destination is with the Spice Route Passport — a pocket-sized booklet that invites visitors on a relaxed, self-guided journey of food and drink across the farm. Come February 2026, this much-loved Passport is being refreshed with exciting updates and a wider selection of tasting options, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. The greater flexibility of the new Passport will make it more child-friendly and welcoming to visitors of all religious backgrounds. Guests will be able to select their own four tastings, tailoring the experience to suit their tastes and preferences to create their very own personalised route of discovery. A new complimentary Birthday Passport & Voucher is also available during the visitor’s birthday month (terms and conditions apply), adding an extra reason to celebrate at Spice Route.

Spice Route’s name is equally evocative of their signature style of aromatic, rich, deep-flavoured wines with layers of ripe, juicy fruit and savoury spice, with terroir at the heart of every crafted bottle. Highlights from the acclaimed Spice Range include the Spice Route Saffron Rosé, the celebrated Tarragon Old Vine Chenin Blanc — which received a 5-star rating in the 2025 Platter’s South African Wine Guide — and the signature Spice Route Chakalaka, a bold red blend crafted from six Rhône varietals grown on dry-farmed Swartland bush vines.

The Journey Range further expands the offering with a selection of expressive, regionally inspired wines, including Sauvignon Blanc from Darling, Chenin Blanc from Paarl, a Provence-style Rosé, Pinotage from a single-block Swartland vineyard, Grenache Noir, and Mourvèdre from unirrigated bush vines.
